I ate at Arby's back in the seventies, and those thin, beef-like, gray-brown folds were great with plenty of horsie sauce, but even then, I suspected I was being sold a bill of goods

I've had horse, dried, as a bar snack, and found it gamier than regular beef jerky

the only thing that made me want to die was bad romaine in the Detroit airport: I actually greyed out from waves of nausea

here's to all things shall pass, OP!

Anyhow, if it keeps up you might want to see a doctor....

I puked for 4 days, finally dragged my dehydrated self in, they gave me anti nausea stuff, anti diarrhea stuff, fluids, I felt much better, this was 3 weeks back, something was going around.

To borrow from Crocodile Dundee, "That's not a sandwich--that's a sandwich." Below is an accurate photo of a pastrami sandwich from Hobby's Deli in Newark, NJ, which had a fire last week just a few days after they filmed a scene for the upcoming Sopranos prequel in front of it (since it's been around for decades).

Not that I’m a health fanatic, but I do avoid fast food joints like the plague. I do tolerate Panera Bread only because they do offer healthier choices, and you actually have to wait for your order.

I’m sure one can get sick at a diner or bar/restaurant too, and even a pizza joint.

Most local newspapers have an annual health department report that they print, which gives you information on what eating establishments have violated codes, and what those violations were. At least around here they do. It’s only a rough guideline at best.

I didn't even know Hardees was still in existence. I just went on their website. There is only one Hardees in all of NJ. We have 8.9 million people and only one Hardees. Sounds about right.

TDPRI was my best friend 2 months ago, recovering from liver transplant surgery. Only problem was I wanted to play but couldn’t because I was so weak. That and GAS was fed by being on here.
As far as Arby’s is concerned I don’t indulge. Our deli satisfies that urge. My main craving upon getting out was a Pho and Bahn Mii sammich.. just couldn’t go out in public. Wife brought it home.
Fast food is not one of my faves. Our deli/grille has broken me of that habit. Our Rubens are the best or my wife will buy it back. Patty melts we have people drive 10 miles and more for them. But, if there’s a line you may wait a half hour or more. You can choose, us or Mickey Ds, Arby’s, Whopper, or there’s a taco truck if your in a hurry. We got great Greek joints down the road we swap food with all the time. Wish we had a good pizza place near by. But Pizza Hut and Dominos have that market. I’ll do a taco truck before a chain store.
