Man, i've got it bad. Threw up last night and can't get myself going today, a holiday weekend!. Oddly (maybe) i keep thinking back to my Arby's reuben yesterday and think that might be it.
The forum? It helps to have a tablet or phone, you can do it in bed. Ever depend on tdpri when laid up?

They have the meats, but what do the meats have? My guess is a fair amount of antibiotics and added hormones. Just sayin'.

Reuben's are very rich, so I have trouble digesting a huge one especially at restaurants. Ones I make at home not so much, but I don't lather the toasted bread with butter and I only add mustard to the basic ingredients.

I'm sorry you are not feeling well VB, but as a learned amateur medical professional, I would offer that you are lucky to be alive having eaten a Rueben sandwich at Arby's. First, they probably don't sell too many of them, which means the corned beef, the dressing, and certainly the sauerkraut are all suspect. IF, you don't die in the next twenty four hours, I'm most definitely predicting you will live. Is that the kind of thing you were looking for? :D

Now you got me thinking back to this deli where you could order a heavenly Reuben with a side of fried onion rings. :)

I love Arbys. Both the roast beef sandwiches (drenched in their 3 Pepper sauce), and, you know what, those gyros are actually amazingly good considering that it's a fast food chain

I had forgotten what they were really like at arbys: roast "beef" (not corned), fake rye bread that has the swirls but not the taste and the bare minimum of mustard and kraut....i should have added mustard, it might have saved me.
BUT glad you like 'em, the gyros ain't bad.

NOT talking about their reubens, I hate reubens in any incarnation.
When I say roast beef sandwiches, at Arbys, I mean this:

However, now that we've got a Portillos in town, I think I'll be stopping by Arby's less

It is now written in my book of life: no reubens at Arby's.

If you like their "gyros," then you like them. It's your right. I thought my one and only Arby's "gyros" was horrifying after eating many actual gyros.

I don’t like corned beef, pastrami or Gyro’s that don’t come from a Greek restaurant.
I haven’t eaten at Arby’s since the stop slicing the roast beef right in front of you. And drowning it in Velveeta doesn’t make it more appealing.

I actually find their gyros better than some actual local "real" gyros places (Mediterranean restaurants with actual greeks in the kitchen). They are NOT the best to be found, but if you don't want to go downtown, and just want something quick and easy, they are A-OK with me!

Of course, we have in my town the mighty Parthenon's, which really cannot be beat
