I have been looking at the budget line of TC pedals such as the Blood Moon Phaser.
They all come in similar stamped metal case with top entry plugs (a good start in my opinion).
There are more an more entries appearing in this line and they are all in the $59 to $89 price range.

Has anybody tried any of these and care to comment?

I've been using "The Prophet Digital Delay" for a year now and I am absolutely happy with it. It's my only effects pedal right now. I sold all my other pedals as I don't really need anything besides the reverb from my amp plus some delay at the moment. I only play at home for myself and don't have the highest expectations but i don't doubt that these budget pedals will work good in gig situations for more professional musicians, too. They are super sturdy and I prefer those big knobs over the tiny knobs on mini pedals that seem to be in fashion now.

If I ever need more effects I will definitely look into the other pedals of this series.

I have a few - a prophet, a 3rd dimension and el mocambo, a force field a honey pot and a nether.

The 3rd dimension is the best chorus I’ve ever had. The nether is a great octave. The prophet takes some getting used to but is a terrific digital delay. And I like the el mocambo a lot. It’a a ts808 clone. I’m not a big user of tube screamers. But it’s a good one.
The honey pot is the silicon fuzz I’ve been looking for.
I thoroughly recommend all of them.

I’ve had a TC Electronics Rusty Fuzz for a few years. I like it. I’m not much of a pedal user so it fit the bill in terms of cost, function, and reliability. The switch itself doesn’t have the same reassuring “click” when you step on it as other more expensive pedals but that’s never been an issue for me. I’m semi-seriously eyeing their new Zeus overdrive.

Used to have the afterglow chorus. Wasn’t bad at all. A really big pedal. But sounded ok for the price. Didn’t have any issues with it

With the exception of their tuners, their effects have never floated to the top for me.

I got the Blood Moon Phaser when it first came out. I like the way it sounds. One thing, however, mine does a weird thing when I turn the feedback control up. It sounds like there are two phasers that are not completely synced with each other. I don't know if this is intentional or not. I've been meaning to contact TC about it.

I've been thinking about getting the Skysurfer Mini Reverb, mostly because of the low price.

The only one I have from that actual series is the Choka Tremolo. I like it and it does everything I need it to do and a little more, so I've been happy with it.

I had a rack full of TC comp/limiters in my last analog A-rig P.A.. We had strictly been using dbx gear up until that point. They were as solid as anything I have ever used. Then, I used that logic & bought a Tube Pilot pedal, which did not live up to the marketing in the performance department. It turned out to be just another fizzy starved plate design. It also likes lots of power. In it's favor, I will state it is constructed very well with some weight about it, has an effective pilot light, and the controls are responsive. Some don't like the click-less switch, but I don't mind it. Just because I don't think too much of my Tube Pilot, doesn't mean I wouldn't try another TC product.

These high-value TC Electronic pedals are commonly known as the "Smorgasbord" line for various reasons. They were primarily marketed to Guitar Center stores, but have since made their way to Amazon and such. They are re-tooled and rebranded Behringer pedals in a really sturdy case. One of the over looked features about these pedals is that they stack tight on the pedal board because the power and patch cable connections are top loaded. I like this line of pedals a lot, they are simple, usually with two or three large and easy to read knobs. The price was hard to beat as well when they first hit the market.
I have and like the following pedals in this series:
Forcefield -> Compressor
El Mocambo -> TS clone
The Prophet -> Digital delay
Honey Pot Fuzz -> Big Muff clone

I'll confess to being a TC fan ...

Value for money & to try things out that TC range is great value for money with, paradoxically, most of their circuits being lifted from the 'original' Behringer clones!

Tried the Blood Moon phaser, found it rather muddy and sucked volume out of my chain. But also then decided I didn't want a Phaser anyway (so I might not be the best judge on that on) and bought their Viscous Vibe instead, different range but excellent value for money.

Tried their Rusty Fuzz, another one I didn't like sounding harsh, nothing subtle to it at all, tried others and have since settled on a EHX Big Muff pi instead.

Tried various Reverbs, eventually deciding I don't want a Reverb at all but their Skysurfer was OK, going from subtle/hint of to full on ... if you like Reverb!

Tried their Thunderstom Flanger, liked it (I do like/use a Flanger) but (gave it away) went on the buy their Vortex. Couple of years later .... not so sure as the Thunderstorm wasn't actually better than the more expensive Vortex!

Delay - Bought the more expensive Flashback 2, decided I needed another Delay style on my board rather than constantly adjusting the Flashback and so bought their Gauss Tape Echo too.
I did run 2 Delays for a while but then changed my mind and went back to just one - the Flashback. It failed! So now the Gauss Tape Echo is my Delay pedal .... which has already proved more reliable than the more expensive Flashback!

Finally, If you want a versatile Boost pedal that'll also do light OD - buy yourself a Spark Boost (full size 4 knob one).
One of the 1st pedals I bought .... not currently on my board 'cos I've fallen victim to the "these pedals are x times the cost so must be better" ... but in truth the Spark Boost is great for the price and in a blind test believe it would fare well.

Another thumbs up for the Spark boost full size. I love having the three-settings switch. As for the budget series, I only have the Thunderstorm flanger. It’s good, but not really better than my little Donner jet convolution.

all good things to say about TC,
I have the Choka tremelo,
Hall of Fame 2,
Polytune 2,
Forcefield comp,
and the corona chorus.

some any very cheap, Choka and Forcefield 35 euro
others low to mid price (75 to 100 euro )

and are ample for my needs
(just home recording...)
