Having an understanding of tattoos being an ancient part of culture and having tattoos/ piercings myself is why I commented, a lot of people get tattoos trying to be shocking or original and there’s nothing original about it
I was kind of just being a smart bottom about it
Each person has a right to do what they want but also each person has their own opinions and preferences of beauty

I’m just saying tattoos and piercings are so tame were do you go?

To a large extent that's not the point. The tattoo itself didn't looked as messed up as it did being part of the whole package.

I do appreciate tenor of your reply, thank you. though I have given up a short flirtation with ritual magic in favor of floating down the great river of time noticing the changes of the currents each time round. I find paying attention to that which I am immersed in rather than attempting to assert influence on that which is doing fine without my getting ego involved, as it makes surrender so much less painful. Getting out of the way is something that those wonderful people at Oakland Aikido introduced me to. It seems that the thing I need to practice at with the greatest focus is simply getting out of my own way most of the time.
oh.... monologue , whoops since chemo-radiation my attention seems to have been reoriented, the effect of which is not dissimilar from being high all the time sans dimension drifting/ slipping from this into that with out actually recognizing 'oh, I viewing things from the astral plane again , and share with other who are viewing things strictly from the physical plane, it does get confusing though very entertaining and good for a laugh. I heard everyone is going to be attending in mass on Easter, goodie gumdrops

I have no tats or piercings.

Life has scarred me and marked me up pretty good, truth be told.
    No further adornments necessary.

Our girl singer has many artful and meaningful tattoos, and I like them all, for her.
    To each their own.

Always wanted to get a tattoo but never did. I still like them but now as a 30something i'd feel really dumb getting my first tattoo. Plus, that kind of money goes towards other things like guitars LOL

As other have said, it is addictive but if you escape that first tattoo as youngster, it is probably for good.

Facial hair can be looked at both ways. Either as weird non-conformist, or shaving can be seen as a body modification.

You just dont see tats on a black bear.....
Being somewhat closer to big old hairy neanderthal than modern hairless ape, it never made much sense to me personally.
As far as on others, its not for me to judge, but..... I do see things that make me wonder what people are thinking. Things that I know I would regret later. Or sooner.
But to each their own as they say.

She probably looks like a gunny sack that once held a large batch of exploding crayons.

You stashed this gem in the middle of a very long post, so I want to make sure it doesn't get missed.

The only cool tatoos IMHO are those New Zealand Maori.
Unsure about face and neck tatoos which are popular now
with North Am folks. That guy who won grammys looks a tad odd
but, I am not hip anymore. (like I ever was) lol

No tats, piercings. Decided a long time ago while such a permanent thing might be cool at the time, downstream I'd likely think differently. These days, it's a fad and aside from holding no appeal, I tend not to do fads. Each to their own. I do think that some of the younger folks aren't putting enough thought into their decisions and we've all seen some very poorly-done tats that do their wearers no favors. Tats technically well-done and artistically placed, can look good. Those seem to be the exception. End of the day - we all make our own choices.

I've been trimming this beard, closer and closer. To make the respirator thingie work better as I prepped and painted an old frame house in Lakeview.

I still haven't ruled out, going back to clean shaven. Last time I was clean shaven? Something like 1984.

    I have only one tattoo.

    It’s a full body tattoo.

The image tattooed is that of my doppelgänger.

I like a lot of those. Hmmm...

I really like small and simple design tattoos. Not a big fan of big pics, suits, etc... My 50th bday is on the horizon. Maybe it’s time to make the jump LOL

I only have one tattoo and it's something I will NEVER regret or have covered, no matter how bad it looks at 60. It's my daughter's name. I got it on her birthday, 2 months and 10 days after she passed away. She was only 22 months old. Almost 2 yrs.
