My parents got matching tattoos on their 50th anniversary. Neither had any prior to that. Bird of paradise on the back of the shoulder, kind of romantic and nice. They must be close to 60 years now, matching body piercings maybe?

I don't really see the problem with this, she doesn't look like her mom, but who cares?

My oldest son dropped out of art school. He's now a tattoo artist. I'm glad he has a profitable outlet for his amazing gift. I have a few from the early 90's, but will definitely have him give me more. Sooner or later.

However, his main clientele are white mom's in their early 20's.

I believe that everyone should have a small tattoo on their upper right arm with their blood type displayed in case of an accident................nowhere else. I cannot understand the mentality of kids being proud of being a walking billboard of stupidity.

I once saw a beautiful young girl (wearing shorts and a very short T shirt which left her mid sections exposed and the top of her buttocks as well) who had a big tattoo (of an arrow facing down her bum ) with "Swipe card here."

They seem to think they will never get old and saggy.

When you were young there were old guys saying how stupid you are. Now you're the old guys.

Getting old is not a crime or a sin. I used to be good looking. Now I'm old. And wise. Or at least less stupid.

IMHO tatoos at any age are kind of dumb, and the best argument is related to time: people change. The stuff I liked at 25 I mostly don't like that much now. My body is already marked by age and experience. I'd hate to walk around now emblazoned with some totem I thought was cool back in the day. I'm not that guy any more.

I just don't get what 'old and saggy' has to do with tatts?

If you are old and saggy, you are old and saggy regardless of whether you have a tatt or not.

In fact if I see an old saggy person with tatts, I think 'wow he must have had an exciting youth and lived life to the full'.

The last thing I think is 'oh his tatt has sagged'. That would seem obvious because the rest of him has sagged anyway.

That's just as stupid if she's young and attractive.

Haha... That is so cool. U guys got no sense of humour.

She sounds like a hoot. I'd go out with her any day.... and marry her if it worked out.

Clearly she is not trying to impress old farts.

It’s way better to have tattoos and love them and consider them rock n roll , than to have one tattoo and hate it and consider it Korn, Limp Bizkit, and 311...

So, carry on and rock on !

First off I'm 71, and age specific comments are possibly lacking in style and grace
I'm responding to what I thought you wouldn't say upfront, possibly implying through sarcasm?;)
Having lots of individual tattoos collage style or random scatter gun style or full body tattoos , sleeves , back/torso
or facial, really isn't a new thing people have been decorating their bodies for thousand and thousands of years fr a myriad of different reasons and purposes ,magic, spiritual, ritual, initiation into one's group or tribe.
I have seen facial tattoos that enhance the beauty of the persons face.
I clear do not take umbrage at the practice of the personalized body decoration choices of others. What business s it of mine how a person chooses to express themselves in ways that do or don't fit into the rising tide of conformity, fashion, or current restrictive limits placed upon self expression.
I am tattooed in a fashion of my own choosing that is expressive of my own personal inclinations. I chose to be tattooed and pierced.
It has affected no one , and in no way impose myself upon the dignity of others ( as in many aspects of human behavior: no harm , no foul.) Time has take it's measure on this tattoo without diminishing it's power in the least, in fact the passage of time has contributed to the power of this ritual scarification.;)
