Tambourine machine!

Anyone else ever looked at one of those animatronic Halloween ghoulies and thought, "hey that guy keeps pretty good time..."?



@mexicanyella and anyone else interested, this is the tambourine machine I made. I recognize that this would be much easier with a looper or electronic device. Honestly I don't know why I did this. Cuz I felt like it, mostly.

Based on a combination of James Taylor's thingy here:



And using stuff and know how from here and some other places since Monster Guts was low on stock.

Thanks! Yep, I can see a few options for you. You could go the "tactile metronome" route: rig a boot to it, and have it kick him on the beat. Or you could do a "right hand replacement": mount one on his bass to pluck the string over the pickup, dial in the BPMs, and tell him to put his right hand in his pocket and keep it there!
