This was my take on an offset style tele, based on a talman, I love how it turned out.
Man, that is the coolest thing I've seen today.
Well.......that thing is dang cool!
Badass axe right there!
Beautiful wood - what is that... walnut?
Solid Ambrosia maple
How did you finish it? Really cool guitar. Talman's are amazing guitars.
I used Crystalac brushed on, I wish I would have had the facilities and equipment to spray it, but overall I can’t complain.
Awesome! There's something special about the Talman shape
Thank you, it's gorgeous - that is a unique guitar you have built !
Man oh man.
Such a fabulous guitar!!
Looks like you got great results with this. Any tips on the technique, type of rush, number of coats etc? (I have some crystalac and no way to spray for six months). Cheers.
I wouldn't kick that guitar of bed. It looks great!
I followed the directions from the crystalac website, I tried both a bristle and a foam, got better results with the foam brush believe it or not. After reading some reviews, I bought the retarder that they sell and it helped it flow and level so much better, but I wasn’t in a hurry either. If I recall, I think I have around 7 or 8 coats, I hand polished to a shine.
Very very nice.
Man, that’s some lovely wood. Very nice build. What’s the neck woods? Did you make that as well?
