“hipster” is an entirely meaningless word in 2023.
Yes. Thier worst parts have permeated the cultural zeitgeist and infected everything, as they exploded and oozed thier gatekeeping elitism on the world.
They're gone, but it's too late to stop them.
Shame, CL guitars sold by hipsters were never set up, never had wear, and were always really clean.....

To all these folks bagging on vintage Gold Foils (as opposed to the various new 'gold foils' that are just P-90s and other standard designs) I say....more for me!

The guitars they went in were often crap, but the pickups are 'Gold' when it comes to tone.

Good riddance if so. So what happened to the hipsters if that indeed is true?
They got older. They were just young people having their own style and doing dumb stuff, like young people do. Now they're older and new young people are having their own style and doing dumb stuff.

Yeah, I have yet to find a demo that impresses me.

Mike Lemmo makes anything sound good, but nothing in this demo did anything for me:

I thought the demo sounded good. The pups sound compressed in a unique way and also have nice clarity.

no,…. don’t do it,… stop,..😏

Killer sound, but they're not Fender "gold foils". Also .17 gauge strings, and tuned to B.

It's a no from me too .... at the moment anyway as I've not heard one yet, but 2 little sheets of gold mesh material on top of the pickups isn't going to sell me one.
