Somehow since playing one of the first PRS hollowbodies in a store like 25 years ago that guitar stuck in my head. The one I played had a spruce top, mahagony body and had none of the bling of the usual PRS – no birds, no curly maple satin finish ... It was a light, beautiful playing and versatile instrument – some how they managed to marry the best tone properties from a semisolid, archtop and telecaster. Like the first guitar in this video: I couldn't afford it back then – but could now. I've been playing either telecasters OR archtops during the last years depending on the band. Would like to get the best of both worlds in one instrument. Talk me out of it.
