    Hi Folks,

I am taking a Coursera course: Introduction to Ableton Live. This is all completely new to me. I am a telecaster - tube amp kind of guy. Below is my first attempt at creating a more electronic type song. Curious to know what people think.

    Thanks!

If you're using ableton just to do midi tracks it's kind of missing the point

Ableton is all about stretching audio beyond all comprehension.

It's a bit of a stretch to get your head around but once you do it's almost limitless in sound design and composition

Good project. Nice feel. There are 2 types of midi worlds I have found. The one that belongs to midi that sounds midi, and, the midi that tries to emulate human performances. The second group is extremely hard to get right. It's what you see us bedroom recorders lamenting about in countless threads. I hope you are able to get some insight into this in your studies and then come here and enlighten us.

    Yeah, I'm in both camps.

    Ableton sure has grown.

I liked the tones you chose. Nothing was too in your face.
