Aside from these times I wouldn’t say anything. But on the off chance someone notices, it seems right.

I’m taking a break from the site. Find myself checking too often. Actually caring what people say. Pushing tongue-in-cheek or matter-of-fact into snarky. Got gear that works but this milieu keeps me looking and cycling (my fault).

    Be well.

    Don't leave, please.

    I love snark.
    (But that's just me.)

    Bring it, with gusto.
    Proudly, sir.

    Stay on.
Life will be better, and this site will be better for it.

    :)

Tell us. Yer gonna pony up with Jakedog? It's called mind and body purification. We all need to do it and should do it. Hats off to you for taking time out. Be safe.

Summertime is a great time to leave the internet to its own devices and do something else.

    Cheers

Sometimes you have to take a break from many things in life. Just don’t take too many breaks at once.

No problem leaving these sites. We didn’t have ‘em 30 years ago and seemed to get along pretty well. I do quite often enjoy your posts but a break from here is just a chance to do other things that are also good. Enjoy!

    Hey it's summer!
Plenty of gear so why read up on stuff we have no actual need for?
Lately I just visit less often, and don't bother to post in most discussions.

Enjoy your summer off from gear forum talk!
Probably still be here when you come back...

Summertime is a good time for other stuff. Enjoy life @MilwMark . I was away from the internet entirely for 10 years. No regrets.

maintaining the noble silence certainly is a sign of compassion for others , at least it would appear to be.

I'm with ya, brother. The more I read about gear on sites like these, the less I care about gear. It's all just stuff, and nowadays I'd rather be practicing or otherwise living life. I click on this site several times a day, but rarely with any purpose. Simply killing time...

When the nonessential takes over too much of your time & attention, stepping away for a while can be a good move. Sometimes it helps a lot just to leave the noise behind.

Clears the mind, focuses one's energies, and lends perspective.

It's all too easy to let an amusement become a distracting habit.

Patterns can rule or even consume us if we don't see them for what they are.

Understand. Did it a while back when I got fed up, unfairly, with the Mods. Come back refreshed and ready to contribute in your own inimitable style. Catch up when you’re ready.
