"Take My Hand, Precious Lord" (a.k.a. "Precious Lord, Take My Hand") is a gospel song. The lyrics were written by Thomas A. Dorsey, who also adapted the melody.

I dedicate this song to all suffering peoples of our world, from war, hunger, abuse, loss of loved ones, loneliness, poverty, ignorance, and all forms of pain.

One of my previous churches used to play this song all the time!
The pastor used to sing it acapella till the rest of the band would scurry up on stage and join in!
