Hint: He is related to someone very famous, and who has been mentioned countless times in this forum.
He looks a little bit like Clapton, but that’s just a wild ass guess. His long lost father or grandfather?

Yeah, I think that's Eric Clapton's father Edward "Ted" Fryer. In Paul Scott's book 'Motherless child' it says that Fryer was a pianist who spent some time playing juke joints and dives of Mississippi, home of the Delta Blues, that would become so important in Eric's life.
Was he a milk man, icecream man? I don't recognise that uniform.
The white cap threw me.There were a lot of Cannucks in Britain in 1944:

Scott (p. 311-312) writes about how, after the war, Fryer spent years as a wandering musician, moving from town to town and woman to woman and spent some of his time on the road in Mississippi. What?? Edward "Ted" Fryer, Eric's father was born in Montreal, Canada. Met Clapton's mom (Patricia) when he was stationed in the U.K. during WWII. She was 16, she got pregnant. Ted returned to Canada after the war and died in North York, Ontario veterans hospital in 1985. He was definitely musical, and played some piano in pubs while in the U.K. during the war and back in Canada.
