I have an old Bad Monkey SOMEWHERE in this house and I have not been able to find it for several years. One of my favorites.

This is the ToneBug Reverb. The little switch flips from Spring (vintage Accutronics reverb tank tone with that characteristic POINK sound on the attack that makes surf sound like surf) to Modern (digital tone, with the discernable high-end splat/sizzle that was really popular in the late 80s).

As you can see, the switch is flipped to Spring. But I thought it was "spring forward, modern back..." or something like that.

That's one gorgeous retro looking pedal.
Reminds me of the old fridge we had when I was a child!

I picked up a new Moller 2 pedal. It was on sale for $75 including shipping and tax. I couldn't pass it up and it's a keeper.

I really dig it when the boost kicks in. You can use it solo or with the overdrive, it boosts the OD signal rather than ODing the boost. It sounds quite pleasing. 😎🙂😄

Good deal! My Moller stays on constantly.

I have a T-Rex Tremster, that never ever leaves my board, a T-Rex Mudhoney which is sorta their take on a RAT, I think. And then I have the Alberta, basically a TS808. Gret pedals! And mine are the versions from the early 2000s, handmade in Denmark. I also used to have their now discontinued vibe pedal "Viper", but I never really used it, and when I dug it out last year, it had stopped working, so I got rid of it, and got a EHX Good Vibes instead.

that "cream" knob sounds AMAZING- and then I was disappointed to not find that sound as the basis for other T Rex pedals
Thumbs up. I bought one when they first came out for use with my Pro Junior.

Originally they were a GC/MF exclusive. I think that's why the Karma Boost was subsequently released to all other retailers. Pretty sure the Karma may have been the same design, just without the reverb.

The Karma is gone now, and the Fat Shuga (which was discontinued for awhile) is back and no longer GC/MF only.

Except for the Tonebug series (I had the reverb, it was pretty good), I haven't owned and T-Rex stuff because it always seemed too expensive to me... maybe because at the time the exchange rate between the US and Denmark was "unfortunate" for US buyers? But I felt like they had Strymon pricing 10 years before Strymon did. They were just too expensive.

And I always wanted to try a Roommate- one with the tube in it- the always heard raves about that one.

You're not hijacking anything. Post away. Personally I'm very happy with this thread. Here I thought Peegoo and I were the only people to hear of these guys. 😎

The Moeller OD/Boost is on it's way. I'm counting the minutes.
Not at all - maybe because they were quite expensive for a while and it's a european company, the USA has plenty of pedalmakers on its own.
I know a couple of guitarplayers over here using T-Rex (mostly the Moller and Mudhoney).
I think what broke their neck was the idea to bring out a real tape-echo (the Replicator). It wasn't the success-story they'd hoped for.....anyway, I'd be glad if they're back!

Yes - some really well made products. I’ve had an Alberta which has a wonderful transparent tone. And the Replica is hard to beat. The TRex Fuel Tanks are clean.

I never heard of them until I started looking for a simple reverb pedal. I don't want or need pre-delay, treble boost, mix...knobs. One was my preference.

So in steps @Peegoo and he recommends a T-Rex ToneBug Reverb pedal. It has 2 knobs and 1 switch. I decided to try this thing out and found one for $65 or so.

Short story even shorter, the thing sounds just like an old Fender tube amp. I wasn't looking for a reverb pedal any longer.

I liked it so much I started looking at other T-Rex Pedals and they have some cool offerings. Here is the list of their pedals that I've tried:

Twin Boost - a keeper. 2 channel boost with BMT for each channel. It lights up and has excellent electronic features.
Diva overdrive - not a keeper
Tremonti Phaser - I don't need another phaser but this thing is excellent. Keeper
Whirly Verb - a decent reverb pedal that also has modulation. Undecided about keeping it. I really am please with the one mentioned above.

So what about you? Have any? I'd love to hear what you gotta say. Thanks.
Yeah gotta agree. T-Rex makes some really solid and good sounding pedals. They make a great tape delay pedal name of the T-Rex Replicator D'luxe. I mean real old school magnetic tape and tape heads, not the digital version that is also being called tape delay.

The only thing digital about it is the tap tempo. It has a short and long delay that can be used simultaneously. The short delay can go up to 512ms and the long delay up to 1 second. It looks complex, but pretty easy to adjust and maintain.

It costed like about $550 a coupla years ago. Probably gone up a bit now like everything else.

Got the T-Rex Diva! With the blend knob it sounds great with a boost behind it for solos.
Tho, it tends to lose its place often as it’s not a flashy sound. I got it during their massive sale for like $50. I’d never have paid the $150+.

Rumor was they were going out of business, but the sales seem to bring new life to the brand.

got the creamer Reverb Pedal - worst reverb I have ever had (sounds artificial, colours your sound in a bad way)

Better tell your marching band to open their umbrellas. I used to have a T-Rex Tremster. It wasn't very good.

Curious to hear what about the Tremster you did not like?
I got one back in 2005-ish, and I loved it from the get go. Though I must admit, that I haven't tried anything else, and only recently got an amp with tremolo (Deluxe Reverb), so the Tremster is my ONLY point of reference when it comes to tremolo pedals. But I've always loved it and have found great use for it for the type of music that I play (Americana, Heartland, rootsy stuff)

Add a heap of blues, and that's the music I play, too. I call it swamp-a-billy.

One thing I didn't like about the Tremster was the volume knob. I'd find myself playing too softly or too loudly when I hit the switch.

I could've just glued the knob down, but the sound didn't impress me, either. It was years ago, so I don't have a strong memory, but I think it colored my sound just a wee tad.

I'm probably over-fussy. Never liked any of my amps' onboard trems, either. That constant tsk-tsk-tsk-tsk-tsk drove me nuts.

Anyhow, finally found a trem pedal I love. Clean, silent, uncolored, nuthin' but trem. Set for life. (Though I wouldn't mind finding a Pops Staples-style DeArmond 601 under the Christmas tree!)

Nothing funner than chasing down gear and getting it right, right?
