    Hey guys, I play in a Sydney based Classic Rock Band called The Headliners.

    We gig on average every second week, mainly around North and Western Sydney.

    Tonight we're at Bidwill Hotel @ 8.30pm

    Next gig after that is Sat 6th Sept at Tracks in the Epping Hotel.

    Naturally I always gig with mostly Teles... :rolleyes:

    I'll try and catch a gig sometime.. I'm at Schofields..I played the Bidwill Hotel a couple of times in the early 90s. I think it's a more sedate venue these days but back then it was pretty scary! Enjoy mate!

    I used to gig a lot of those western sydney pubs (& clubs) back in the mid to late 80s.

    Never did the Bidwill hotel but one in Mt Druitt (forget the name) On Carlisle Street or something ?

    That was scary! The Tourmalene (the one with the bucking horse out the front) out Box Hill way could be an adventure too.

    Fond memories !!!

    I'm in Melbourne now so haven't ventured into them pubs for years.

    Whoops..hit send a bit prematurely..
    As I was saying. . Played the Tourmaline. .at the bar was a fella covered in tatts wearing a singlet with the words "reign in blood" written on it. .He was telling his drinking partner exactly what he did to someone who had ticked him off very recently.. Lots of colorful language and descriptions of painful procedures inflicted on the victim. . Don't think the music we were playing agreed with him by the scowl he wore and the death stares he was giving.. The band agreed to pass up any future gigs offered. .

    Played a pub in the Druitt called the Carousel. . May be the one you are referring to? Was quite family friendly from memory..

    The Minto Inn was always a ripper too..geez the dives I have played!

    Nah, it was the Bidwill on Carlisle Street. Actually, it was a great place to play, and the (small) crowd was very well behaved. I think they have gone to some trouble to clean the place up. A good gig, wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

    We have played the Carousel a while ago... but it's not a gig that we would want to do again in comparison. They do have a jam night there every Thursday, by the way.

    Haven't played either the Vineyard Hotel or the Minto Inn. Both are pretty low paying gigs also.

    Hey guys! The Headliners are back in action on Saturday, September 6th.

    This time at Tracks @ The Epping Hotel, 9.30pm - 12.30am.

    If you come along, make sure you say hi.... I'm the one with the Telecasters of course.

    Just a heads up, Headliners are in our "Sydney Wide Tour" at the moment...

    Playing a few weeks in a row...

    Fri 10th Oct - Bidwill Hotel 8pm
    Sat 18th Oct - The Bradbury 8.30pm
    Sat 25th Oct - Private Party
    Sat 1st Nov - Epping Hotel - 9.30pm

    And just for fun, this is my gig rig. See if you can work out what Teles I am using!

    And this SATURDAY night, we're back at TRACKs @ The EPPING HOTEL. A great venue for a gig, would love to see some Tele lovers there.
