I'm looking to switch out the Schaller tuners on my early 2000s MIM Telecaster. I really like the 70s Fender tuners that came with my '72 Telecaster Custom. I also like the Kluson-style vintage tuners. Is there a compatible or easy way of switching these out? The Schallers are fixed in place using two small holes. I'm trying to find something vintage that will use or cover up the Schaller holes.

The 70's style F-tuners will cover up the existing holes but create new holes that no common tuner will cover should you change your mind.

Fender now has Kluson style tuners that use the same 2 holes as the Schaller tuners.

    100% reversible mod.

I just found the Kluson-style tuners that you were talking about. Thanks for the help. Exactly what I was looking for.
