Ordered this jack as a replacement for a ProCo Rat. I can't seem to find a proper pinout diagram.

Most pictures I've seen of the enclosed stereo jacks have the lugs in a different arrangement.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

    Thanks for the response!

I have seen that diagram and I actually bought from Mouser. But the jack I received doesn't seem to be the same.

I think going clockwise from the right you have tip, the tip-shunt and then the sleeve. That's how the picture you have and the diagram looks to me (but I am having to bounce back and forth on a smartphone to view the pictures).

Basically your hot, switch and ground.

Yep, except that it's not technically a ring connection in the middle on this jack. This one is like you would have on the input of a Fender amp. If you wanted a stereo (TRS, TipRing Sleeve) it looks like that is the 112B.

On a TRS the ring connection is opposite the shunt on your jack. Maybe that's why you didn't think that it matched up to the schematic.

Yeah, I think they sent me the wrong jack. No wonder it looked different, definitely need a stereo TRS. Damn.

Is 112ax the correct part number for the stereo input jack?

Mouser has the 502-112B. It is the TRS you are looking for.
It does say "Tip & Ring Open Circuit".

The jack you show is a TS with a shunt to the tip. This will work for the input jacks or the speaker jack on most amps. This will not work on the Pro Co Rat.

The 112B is out of stock, but they have a 112BX. According to the data sheet, the "X" denotes "RoHS Complaint"

I think the 112B is discontinued and is renamed 112BX

Hopefully in the Detroit area you can make it to a local shop that has a TRS jack. Mouser shipping for one part is a horrible thought.

"RoHS Complaint" = Restriction of Hazardous Substances.

When the "RoHS Complaint" electronic device ends up in the landfill the environment will have a few less chemical compounds to deal with. When considering that most electronic devices end up in a landfill because they are more expensive to fix or upgrade than replace, something like RoHS seems to be the correct path to take. Mouser and the part manufacturers are just doing their part by supplying "RoHS Complaint" parts.

I assume this is a controversial subject that is prohibited on TDPRI due to many opposing views. I will stop writing now.

I've had pretty good experiences with Mouser actually. I buy most of my stuff from there these days. Some of the smaller DIY sites were becoming unreliable.

And not much here locally, especially for something as specific a Switchcraft 112XB jack for a Rat Pedal :D
