Not into her music apart from a bit of nostalgia (she was huge when I was a kid) but this is a good watch. Lots of interviews with some 70s icons (Deborah Harry, Tina Weymouth and others are singing their praises)

Thanks. I saw her open for Alice Cooper at the L A Forum for the Nightmare tour.

I remember her, surprised she is the subject of a documentary though.

    Well,

That's all I've got. I'll stick with my guiltiest of guilty pleasures: surreptitiously listening to Bangles records when I go for long drives.

Well she has sold 55 million records, and opened the door for many other female vocalist/musicians that followed, so there's that!

I remember watching Top of the Pops early '70's...( UK big show) and she came on doing 'Can the Can'....it was like wow !!! and I was 10 ! She's been a legend here in the UK IMO....very big in the 70's...but still in the music psyche per say ! There have been a lot of musos less worthy of a Dame hood or MBE or such over the years.....and when I reached 20 and if I'd had the opportunity...I would have ...................................................well you know !

First album I ever bought was one of hers.

I suppose the doc was good, but once she migrated away from rock, I lost interest. But she is an assss-kicker for sure.

I love this tune from her early days

I think that's what killed any chance of her having a rock career in the USA in the 70s. Appearing on a sitcom in those days was the kiss of death.

Years ago we supported a band called Legend. The guitarist was one Lenny Tucket I believe. He was Suzie's husband. That was an interesting show....

I saw her on an episode of "Midsomer Murders" where she portrays, essentially, herself, although she gets electrocuted onstage within a few minutes of the opening.

she was in an episode of midsummer murders

i wish i could insert the clip of her getting electrocuted by a microphone while she's wailing

on a really high note "whaaaaaa" with smoke coming out of her ears and people clapping

    too funny
