Quite possibly the most uplifting headline I've read since Headless Body in Topless Bar.
While I'm sure the life of a poacher is a challenge, big arrows marked Karma have gotten all of my attention, so I'm carefully examining my own path for settings where I may get stomped by Dumbo, then eaten by whatever has the sharpest teeth.
    Circle of life?

A suspected rhino poacher was killed by an elephant and his remains likely eaten by a pride of lions, park officials in South Africa said.

Kruger National Park rangers received a call last week from the family of the suspected poacher, the park said in a statement issued Friday. According to the family, accomplices of their relative said he was killed by an elephant on Tuesday, while they were in the park to poach rhinos.

The elephant attacked "suddenly," police Brig. Leonard Hlathi told South African news website TimesLive. Hlathi said the man's accomplices claimed to have carried his body to a road before leaving the park.

Rangers began search efforts to find the man's remains and bring the family closure but could not locate a body.

"Indications found at the scene suggested that a pride of lions had devoured the remains leaving only a human skull and a pair of pants," the statement reads. The remains were found in the Crocodile Bridge section of the park.

If all there is is a head, he could have been shot by his boys and fed to the lions.

I love it. These countries want to sell hunting tourism? They should sell permits to hunt the poachers! (90 some Elephants were killed/poached EACH DAY a couple years back.)
It is now predicted that all the big mammals will be gone by 2050. So get a look at them with your grandkids now because they will just be pictures in a book like the Dodo soon.

Why aren’t the poachers on an endangered species list?

I am more concerned with the rich people who buy endangered animal parts for fake reasons than I am by the poachers who, hopefully, do it to feed their families.
But what’s the expression: poetic justice

A lot of the elephant slaughter was committed by SOLDIERS in helicopters - this came to light because the kill shots were at the top of the skull. As far as I know these scumbags were never prosecuted. In Africa law is interpreted by the AK-47 or rather whoever is holding it.

I root for Elephants and The Big Cats.

That witch that shot the giraffe should be doused in A-1 sauce and thrown out of the Land Rover.
