Could be a prop, because her go to guitars were always her signature model Rickenbacker Electric Guitars and a Guild Starfire 12 string Electric guitar. But she also owns the Rickenbacker 12 string electric guitar given to her by Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Gos. She has also played a sunburst Fender Stratocaster (as evidenced in a 1984 Bangles guest appearance on David Letterman—which I already posted on strat-talk.com)

It might also be borrowed or rented from fellow Bangles guitarist Vicki Peterson, as she owned several Gibson Les Paul and Gretsch Guitars, and a lot of Fender Stratocaster, Epiphone Casino 12 string Electric guitar, and a Fender Bass VI and a lot of Fender Telecaster Electric Guitars, much of them owned by her late fiancé, Bobby Donati, a guitar technician who died of leukemia in 1991.
Did she ever use this guitar on any studio recordings, when did she acquire it, does she still own it, etc?
I actually wrote to Susanna Hoffs and Vicki Peterson a few times but they never wrote back.

    Here are the clips:
She also owned a Fender Coronado 12 string Electric guitar. If anyone knows information about the Telecaster, thanks. It looks to be a 70s model. :)

I also wrote to her and never heard back. But I was asking for a date and I knew it might be a long shot.

Can’t really see all the Telecaster. There is a girl in the way.

That Telecaster, I believe, was a blond one that belonged to a guitar technician who worked for the Bangles.

And Charlotte Caffey of the Go-Go's also played a Fender Telecaster.

I know this because Vicki Peterson of The Bangles filled in for Charlotte Caffey as Go-Go's guitarist when she was pregnant in 1995.

    But The Bangles are better

With the Tele, that makes this a win - win.

The Ric looks good on her too. Saw her open for Don Henley in '90. Totally sweet gal.

She plays enormous Telecasters. The ones I play are much smaller.

    She's just remarkably sexy.

You said something about a guitar?

On the other hand, lets not be sexist and keep this thread clean.

A friend of mine mentioned recently that she discovered the music of the Bangles through Cyndi Lauper. They sang backing vocals on her song Change Of Heart.

So weird. This may be the third or fourth thread I've seen recently of obscure female entertainers who were pictured briefly holding or playing a telecaster. Is it a fetish thing? Am I missing the punchline?

First time I saw a Sheryl Crow video she was also playing a large Telecaster. Looked to be the size of a Gibson J-200.

Susanna Hoffs did not ignore me. She took care of me very well. Unfortunately, it was when she was working as a teller at the Wells Fargo at Sunset and Vine in Hollywood in the early 80's. It was before The Bangles made it. I did not know who she was but I would purposely get in her line so I could get up close to her. She was so gorgeous. She even did that eye thing back then. Then one day, as the guy ahead of me in line was leaving, he said "good luck with the band!" And I thought to myself, OMG! She's in a band! Soon after, The Bangles hit it big. And there she was! The chick from the bank! It's Susanna Hoffs! Needless to say, I did not see Susanna Hoffs at the Wells Fargo again.

"Obscure"? The Bangles were HUGE in the 80s, and had quite a few top ten hits - like Manic Monday, Eternal Flame, Walk Like An Egyptian, Hazy Shade Of Winter,...
Heck, Susanna Hoffs was famous enough to get her own Rickenbacker signature model - and Rickenbacker rarely does that.
