Yeah, no wonder.
I thought that, generally speaking, bridge pups were too hot to be used as neck pups. Something to do with the string vibrating less closer to the bridge.
Not for me!!! But I think it's pretty cool.
I dig it. Always cool to see something new. Then again, sound is king.... Anyone have insights into this thing's tone?
I seem to recall those boutique girl brand guitars coming with tele bridge pickups in both positions.
They aren't available over here.. it's not at all uncommon for FSR's to be released in Europe without being released in the US.
The neck will sound louder because of that. But on the original Strats all three pickups were identical.
I've gotten used to my face where it is. Seems like one of those into a six pack of tubes would push it up past my eyebrows.
Yeah, I've only ever heard people say it just wouldn't work when asked what a bridge pup would sound like in the neck, but like tele12 says a strat pup is a strat pup and you set them progressively lower toward the neck.
Also not having that huge bridge plate means the middle and neck pups will be relatively less "fat", no?
I'm also interested in this:
'thick “C”-shaped neck profile, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 21 vintage-style frets'.
Todd Krause already made a CS one with a bridge pup in the neck position, and an old Esquire had one also:
Filed under the heading of "don't knock it 'til you try it". It does pique my curiosity.
I like the idea, I don't like the black on black look of it.
Interesting but not lighting my fire. May have to pop in and play one when they arrive in store, I'm intrigued at how it'll sound.
Yeah, that part stuck out for me too, pity the neck itself is such an anaemic colour but that would age okay.
Spec all around is good for me. As others have already noted - shame it's so damn ugly.
Ugly? The only ugly aspect to be is the black on black. Three pickups all slanted the same looks cool.
Who is Todd Krause? Is this a copy of his tele?
That's what makes it unappealing to me in the looks department. I would still be willing to try one though.
