And it isn't just music. British film stars are nothing until they come to America or start making American backed films. Cary Grant, Alfred Hitchcock, Alec Guinness, Sean Connery, Dudley Moore, Roger Moore, Daniel Day-Lewis, Christian Bale...the list is endless. Had those people stayed in tiny England making films, they'd be driving Mini-Coopers instead of Rolls Royces.

I’ve been chasing a sound, a feel for years. Not a pro musician, just a hack. I’m headed back to a Strat again, selling the ‘16 Les Paul I have.

bought a Clapton with “Crossroads inspired” paint

Ask Robbie Williams if that's true.

Ask Rowan Atkinson if he's just driving a Mini.

Or just ask any Football players or F1 drivers if they're sad they never made it in America. I'm sure Ronaldo cries himself to sleep every night.

Ask Robbie Williams if he'd rather be Adelle.

Now just think how much more money Robbie Williams would have if he were big in America? Tell me, who has more dough: Robbie Williams or Robbie Williams?

Yes, every soccer star would rather be a basketball player or football player here in America. Michael Jordan is worth...wait for it...2.1 Billion dollars. Yes, billion with a B. When Ronaldo gets to even one billion let me know. That guy Ronaldo you mentioned...a mere 450 million. Do the math, Jordan is worth roughly five times as much.

Oh, and Formula 1? Uhh, I guess you don't follow the sport. It isn't a British sport you know. It's global. In fact, check this out, they race in America.

And before that was "The Beverly Hillbillies" theme song. Earl Scruggs had a number 1 hit with it.

And yet almost all the teams have headquarters in the UK. Even the German one.

And yet American company Ford sells more cars than all of them.

Know your facts, please, if you want to go up against me.

When record companies saw the 50s teen market, they started making rock n roll stars.

The 60s was growth of that business.

Nothing would stop that bonanza until file sharing came along.

If the Beatles never existed, it would have been someone else. They were talented and fit the bill.

No Beatles? Maybe rock n roll would still be alive?

As Karen Carpenter might have sung, “It’s “Yesterday” once more”.
