Suppose if classic cartoon bands would use their impractical cartoon instrument set up for real...

If you click on it you can read the brand names. Flounder and Gilson guitars and a Farfisher organ.

Someone needs to build that Flounder, it wouldn't be too hard.

Yes, that's the modern take on things, in the sixties such as in my OP it was different.

Here in Japan “Beck” is now considered a classic cartoon (anime). It’s a cartoon geared toward wannabe rock stars, and is a pretty good series if you can find it.

So now I'm sitting here at work looking up old cartoons and shows mentioned on this thread on the JustWatch app to see where I can stream them....

Girlfriend: So what are you doing tonight?
Me: Binging on the Monkees and Archies, you?

One of my favorites is the Simsons episode where Homer manages a country singer, Lurleen Lumpkin. The band actually has a pedal steel player, visible in the lower left.

You can also get a guitar from this cartoon video game.

In high school I used to put the Mickey Mouse show on TV after school and turn off the sound and put on Jimi Hendrix. It was cool because the main guy "Jimmy" played the guitar and sometimes it matched up. Other than him being white and wearing mouse ears.

re: The Partridge Family, I was fairly accommodating except for the drummer. That kid obviously could not play. Mr. Kincaid!!!!

re: Josie and the P-cats, that's when I knew it was time to turn off the TV and go outside.
