Here in Japan “Beck” is now considered a classic cartoon (anime). It’s a cartoon geared toward wannabe rock stars, and is a pretty good series if you can find it.
So now I'm sitting here at work looking up old cartoons and shows mentioned on this thread on the JustWatch app to see where I can stream them....

One of my favorites is the Simsons episode where Homer manages a country singer, Lurleen Lumpkin. The band actually has a pedal steel player, visible in the lower left.

In high school I used to put the Mickey Mouse show on TV after school and turn off the sound and put on Jimi Hendrix. It was cool because the main guy "Jimmy" played the guitar and sometimes it matched up. Other than him being white and wearing mouse ears.
