Super Champ X2, Does it Bassman?

    Super Champ owners. Does the Super Champ 15 watt amp do Fender Bassman well? I want the Bassman sound, occasionally, but not enough to spend for one.

    The Super Champ XD Series has a dedicated Fender clean channel, along with a 2nd channel that dials up various Amp models using a Voice knob

    - the first 3 or 4 voices are I believe various Fender style models of different vintage-Blackface, Tweed, etc.-you use the Volume and Gain knobs, which respond differently depending on the Voice you select.

    There are good options for sure, but you are still dealing with digital modeling, a 10" speaker ( which everyone seems to upgrade), and 15 watts.
    Maybe you can dial in Bassman-like?

    No. I’ve owned an X2 and that was my favorite amp model though.

    Exactly my feeling on it.

    In fact, I only liked two models on that amp, the super clean one (Twin maybe?) and the Bassman. Both sounded quite good for what it is.

    Thought anything gainier was terrible.
