I think I missed the first two--didn't know about 'em--but I don't think I've missed one since then. I don't care much any more who wins, and I've never made a party of it, but I plan to watch. I think it should be a pretty good game this year.

Edit: I looked at Wikipedia to confirm that the first Super Bowl that I watched was III. It was, but I think the Wikipedia article is mistaken: I'm pretty sure the Jets won that game.

Your chilis sound great guys! I make a pretty mean Texas chili myself, no beans of course.

But tonight I'm going with spare ribs, dry-rubbed, done in the Instant Pot so they will be fall-off-the-bone tender. No BBQ sauce, but I will have my home-canned wild black raspberry/jalapeno jelly for garnish.

Stay home .....may watch.....may not. I’ll probably go in and out for the score and see if the half time show keeps my interest

just finished up drums for next song..the feel is still in me..must get Rhythm & bass tracked..then it can be chipped at whenever..just cant let that initial emotion to the song pass while it hit me..always starts when i bang the drums..a phrase..then sorta have quite the few piles of lyrics..which some basic chords attached...the drum beat conjures up the complete idea..and will haunt me till its recorded right !

    Made no plans...however...today I've:
    -gone to church
-been to Walmart for grocery pickup
-opened the house up for air out after a near-aboard low yield skunk burst last night
-raked back and checked the foundation for skunk tunnels (none-yay)
-made the 75ft crawl (one way) in and back to ensure there is no skunk sign in the crawl space (none-yay)
-put out the live trap (time to thin the herd...again)
-spent half of my Feb allowance at MF (cause I need more stuff)
...guess I could clean and organize the utility room---bought some shelves for guitar cases. Game doesn't start for a couple of hours.

It’s Super Bowl Sunday. My wife went out for fried chicken to add to leftover Chinese an hour ago and hasn’t returned. Neither of us were thinking about the Super Bowl. I checked the TV listings. All of her Sunday shows are reruns. I don’t watch much. Maybe I’ll try to catch a few commercials. I can practice and then stop if something looks promising. The listing doesn’t say anything about the half time show. Maybe I’ll catch that if I don’t turn the TV off by then.

Just to be clear, I have no virtue of any sort, nor do I desire any.

I will be avoiding TVs and Super Bowl parties. If I don’t get to play, I’m not interested. Besides, they don’t even wear skates; how can you call it a sport?

Aside from that, it runs afoul of one of my guiding principles in life; anything that’s wildly popular should be avoided at all costs. There’s bound to be something bad about it.

Leftover fried chicken, a bottle of Chardonnay which will be 3/4 full at the final gun, my YHR-10C, Takamine and Tele.
I have an attachment from the past but no skin in the NFL game since Pete called that interception at the goal line.
