I discovered A Southern Gospel Revival sometime this summer and was quite taken and inspired. That inspiration is fleshed out today 10/29, as we're doing Old Timey Sunday. Three acoustic guitars and a harmonica (mouth organ, harp). No percs as my drummer had to be out of town but we're going with 6 vocalists, twice our usual number.
    I Saw the Light- HANK!
Where Could I Go (but to the Lord)
    Everywhere I Go- Tim Timmons
In the Sweet By and By
    I Need Thee Every Hour
Enough- Tomlin Kinda hard to old timey this one but the pastor wanted it to close his message.

This stuff sounds like the stuff I grew up with and the stuff some of y'all play every week but we're usually more in the Skynyrd and Allman Bros meet Ben Harper on their way to church vibe.

We had a 40th anniversary for the Church last sunday.

played lots of music from all the decades. Even had the Organ player jam with us on a few (that was different, but fun).

    Great is Thy faithfulness.
    Make Us One.
    Awesome God.
    What a Beautiful Name.
Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow.
    Your Glory.
It Is Well With My Soul.
    Your Grace Is Enough.
    Blessed Be Your Name.
Lord, I life Your Name On High.
    The Church's one Foundation.

Bumping up for Christmas Eve set lists. So far our leader picked Offering - Paul Baloche. I think we've done that one for 5+!years. Don't get me wrong, like the song but need some fresh ideas.

Year is winding down... only one more time I have to play Christmas music this season....

We had a prayer service on the 21st at All Saints where we played :

    Silent night
    O Come all ye Faithful
    O holy night
    Christmas Alleluia (Tomlin)

On the 31st (first Sunday of Christmas) we loose our normal guitarist, so it's acoustic git-fiddle for me instead of Baritone :

Processional: On this day earth shall ring
Gloria: Angels we have heard on high
Sequence: Love came down at Christmas
    Offertory: Let all mortal flesh
    Sanctus: (Greensleeves tune)
    Communion: Instrumental on Greensleeves tune
    Recessional: How bright appears
