    Grateful Heart
    10,000 Reasons
    Forever
    Revelation Song

I like this thread! Gives me some ideas for different songs to suggest.

09/03 - on bass this week

    It is You
Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)
Take My Life (And Let it Be)

Our drummer is out due to a pretty bad sciatica issue. I miss having him there - it's amazing how much a great drummer adds! So, they're counting on my to keep some time with the bass...Great thing about playing in church is it's illegal to tell me I suck!

This was last week. Did "Abundantly" by Johann Anderson as a prelude.... Left the Baritone at home and played bass.

I like it, the song certainly is applicable to me, and prbly plenty of others; as you mention congregation likes it.

The song has plenty of dynamic range. I'm generally in back with
bass and drums doing what a tele does best fills, building excitement
at chorus, and sometimes even a 2-4 bar solo for transitions.

On "Lord I Need You" I was on neck pup (minitron). We went through
2 verses instrumentally as a prelude, then singers came in.
I mostly played on chorus and played melody line on last verse.
Totally different approach than crankn the bridge pup on "Build Your
Kingdom" or "Amen":) I like snappy but also like legato; try to do what
fits best and let the Spirit lead...

I'm enjoying this tread as it's helping me to find new songs that I don't think that I would have thought about using. Some of these will find their way into a Sunday Set List

Here's mine this week, we've had some major church drama lately so I'm being asked to keep worship pretty minimal at the moment, acoustic and piano, but not a lot more than that.

My Savior My God - Aaron Shust
    Stronger - Hillsong
    Man of Sorrows - Hillsong
Your Glory/Nothing But the Blood - All Sons and Daughters
    Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

Interesting. Many of our songs were in Bb, too.

I played rhythm guitar for our P&W band. I don't capo and I play barre chords, mostly, so I had to create my own 'views' of the music.

While I have some latitude with the prelude - there are troubling lines in Last Dance for some of the older parishioners....

Hmmm. Lots of newer AND older P&W music here. Really good music, too.

Do you guys have electronic copies of your music? Is there any interest in creating (legally, of course) an on-line repository, accessible to our members?

    Nope
    Worship service
Ya know , our seniors have shared that they may not enjoy all the tunes, but when they see the smiles and hear the enthusiasm of younger folks singing they realize they are bringing up a new generation for the Lord
