I was just thinking about how I feel about this song being one of the best song that Chris Tomlin ever recorded.

Indescribable~easy to lay back and play pretty on the verses...
but by the time the chorus rolls around for the 2nd time, just
can't help but flip the tele into JOY mode!

Our piano-playing worship leader picks the songs and plays them. We have the chords in front of us, and I try to make it sound good (go figure!). I ended up string-picking while chording in the verses, palm-muting downstrums in the chorus, and full-on strumming the bridge. I find myself playing it when I pick up my guitar without even thinking about it. I guess it's become a go-to warm-up song.

We mix it up too. New P and W, older P and W (not sure where that line is anymore), some hymns and gospel songs. This week may be less varied than usual.

    This week:

    He Reigns
    Build Your Kingdom Here
    Holy Spirit

    Message here

Give Thanks (trad; sung during receiving of offering)

Baptism (we almost always do some sort of "sacramentally" thing, although it's not always what our church technically considers a "sacrament")
    After the Baptism:

Baptized in Water (hymn to tune of Morning Has Broken)
    Hallelujah For the Cross (Newsboys)
    Children of God

Don't get lazy. I bet there's a great counterpoint you could work into Love Divine...

    Is that the Alarm song?

We're going to have a practice Thursday, and our WL says
he wants to add some new songs. Looks like we're going to
    check out "Christ Is Enough".

I'll see what part my Tele plays:)
