Suggestion for simple blues amp kit?

    Looking for ideas, want to build something other than Fender/Marshall/Vox style amps. I'm envisioning an amp head with a raw, guttural, rootsy tone, something with loads of character. What's out there?

    Supro Dual Tone or a Supro Thunderbolt. maybe in reverse order. Roots rock and Blues machines……There was a Thunderbolt thread on here not that long ago, with a schematic and or layout.

    My suggestion is a Peavey Bandit and a Boss BD-2.

    My Bandit is a DIY head and plays through two 112 speakers.
    I will never need anything else.

    I also use a Digitech Bad Monkey if I want to be different.. :)

    Thanks for the tip! Yeah, a Trainwreck sounds like an interesting project, the only way I'll be able to play any of those amps is to build it myself. :) I'll send an e-mail to RJ.

    The Rocket is an awesome amp, and not a difficult build either.
