Just passing time... only so many times I can do the same stuff. Like Marty Stewart and the Fabulous Superlatives.
So who plays loud, clean (or dirty/clean) with tremolo as an added bonus? Thanks

I dunno about 'clean', but the first thing that comes to my mind when the word 'tremolo' comes up is CCR.

    And then Crimson & Clover

Clean and tremolo I would vote for Pop Staples and his successor sideman of Mavis Staples Rick Holmstrom

I have an acquaintance who has no pedal board, but uses only an old yellow tremelo pedal. It looks like a Boss pedal but not sure what it is. It just sits on top of his amp always on. He's a tasty player. The weird thing is you cant tell he has tremelo on. I'm not sure what he's doing, but probably has it on super slow or super weak. It seems to just add a touch of sustain to each note, kinda like it's dragging the note out a little.

East Bay Ray plays cleaner than most people think, and he's not averse to tremolo. The Dead Kennedys may not be your first port of call though.
As mentioned above, Pops Staples. 'Father, Father', 'Peace To The Neighbourhood' and 'Don't Lose This' should be in your collection, and 'Jammed Together' with Steve Cropper features some nice trem work from Pops too. For the Staple Singers, 'Be Altitude' and the 'Stax Classics' are worth a listen.

My two favorite trem songs are the Stones 'Gimme Shelter', and The Smiths 'Then is Now'.

Isn't that his vibrato effect from his Magnatone amp?
    Great song though
