    Working on a Tele build for a buddy and he wants it's to be not dead-on vintage accurate, but close. It's in the vein of 1960-62 style Tele build with a rosewood fingerboard.

    Who makes quality parts out of vintage correct materials? I already have some parts but need:

    * Control Plate
    * Neck Plate
    * String Ferrules
    * String Tree

    Also, were neck plates and control plates chrome or nickel plated in 60-62?

    Thanks.

    Gotoh makes the better vintage-style hardware for the MIA Fenders, and their Kluson-style tuners are my favorite brand of that style. Not sure how "accurate" it is with regards to the plating, although I'd bet money the tuners function a lot better than the old Klusons ever did.

    Glendale Guitars and Callaham are both places you'll want to check out too. Fair warning: they ain't cheap.

    I contacted Mark Rutters. Thanks for the heads-up, RR. Definitely doing business with this gentleman. Parts look great, he's prompt, professional and seems like an all around nice guy.

    He has built a lot of parts for Gil Yaron (Preeb) who is as vintage correct as anyone on this forum.
