I’d consider a Mono OM-size bag. Expensive, though I’ve bought 2 on sale and 1 barely used.

I use that model for my custom OM, a 1927 Martin O-28K, and a 1930 Gibson L-1. (Though they now make a parlor guitar size case.)

I’ve taken them many times in rain or shine, walking, on tube, or on the bus in central London.

Yes. A dreadnought bag can hold an OM but not vice versa. At least if it’s a fitted gig bag.

Reunion blues or Mono. I went with the Reunion Blues for my dread naughts, just liked it better and so far ( about a year old) it's held up well. Great padding and exoskeleton. They should make one for most sizes

So congratulations on the tri-O-28! Absolutely love mine, and I probably put more hours on it than all the other guitars combined. Playing it makes me feel good in my guts, as I expect your's will you. Enjoy!

i was thinking the same thing - Reunion Blues "Continental" or Mono. The difference might be in how the particular size fits your ooo. The Mono 'dread' size fits my Taylor GA body better than the RB (I guess that means it's smaller), but their OM/OOO size might be different. However, the Continental cases are NOT light weight. The one I have for electric solidbodies is at least as heavy as a hard case - so for mobility all you're adding is backpack straps.

The OP is asking about soft cases so I wouldn't presume to try to convince otherwise - but if all you need is a LIGHTER case then the British made Hiscox ABS cases are fantastic and much lighter than a Geib-style wood Martin case. My D-35 lives in one in the winter.

My mother is a gear nut with acoustics and prefers her SKB hard shell to her more expensive Hiscox for her nice Martins. She likes it primarily because it's very light and easy to carry, while affording good protection. And its svelte enough to carry on airplanes with no issues. She's also fanatical about humidity, and I'm not sure the gig bags would control as well. Bonus is that it's not very expensive.
