Surfed his name in titles and nothing came up.
Now this is new old school!
Oh yeah, he may single-handedly save country music. Here are three of my favorites
That's what everyone is saying! I couldn't agree more. Loving his stuff. Great, great band too.
He made it all the way to Scotland a couple of months ago and I haven't stopped hitting youtube since. Just wish more artists were willing to play outside the USA
Long white line is AWESOME! That song just screams outlaw.
Another good one of his that is somewhat under the radar:
One of my favorite artists. Great music and real talent.
Saw him here in October. Very talented guy, great voice, great band, great songs.
Who is the guy plauing with him at the brewery? The last clip posted. Hes not the same guy that plays with him now. They are both killer though!!
Not sure if you guys have seen this, it's an interview with the lead guitarist Laur Joamets:
I've discovered Sturgill Simpson while browsing this forum, so thank you all very much! Greetings from Amman, Jordan.
Me and and my bandmate Darrin have been listening to Sturgill for a while now....definitely hoping this is where Country music starts heading.
We liked him so much we did a youtube spinoff, or our own cover take on one of Sturgill's tunes called "Turtles All the Way Down"....even threw in a sax solo at the end to be extra different
Hope you like it
Got me listening to a little country again. Same with Aaron Lewis.
He's good if you like outlaw country. As lots here do, and there's nothing wrong with that
I generally prefer traditional honkytonk myself
He's the real deal! As someone mentioned, they're going to save "country" music.
Those guys are FANTASTIC!
I'm a fan. It's great to see Sturgill getting some attention. I hope to see more country acts like this break through and gain popularity.
