"And, if you feel the need to set one on fire onstage, with a deal this stupid, you can afford two!" lol!

Man, times like this I wish I lived in the US.

Back in the day, this was my dream setup, mainly the reverse bridge pup.

I've never played one of those. Does the reversed bridge pickup improve the tone at all, ie, mellow out the nasty sharpness many strat bridge pickups are notorious for?

I've seen those on the wall in SoundControl Manchester, they look like very nice guitars! They appeared to be limited edition Classic Series Strats - rather than MIM Standards!

I guess list in the US was $ 1,000, the going price $ 700. I lot of 'fans' and 'collectors' bought these things, probably a large percentage were either returned or have never been really played. I think a lot of buyers were oblivious that this offering was MIM until it arrived and then the vibe was gone.

It does sound different than most trem strats, but not the way a hardtail or a HH strat sounds different. The distracting thing for me was the giant headstock blocking my hand as I chased the tuning all over the place on a shop guitar with older strings.

Not a bad guitar, but definitely not on a par IMO with Classic Players 50's or 60's Strats, 50's Classic Teles and Esquires, and Classic Baja Teles. You could do way worse for $ 400.
