I've been in hospital for 6 days waiting for an operation on my foot which finally happened this morning. My Band has had to cancel 2 gigs already, I hope I can make the next one on Dec. 20. This is the longest I've gone without playing for years, and I'm really starting to miss it. My Monoprice 15 watt is in the shop waiting to be picked up too, and I won't be able to drive for a while. I'm not really complaining, there are people here with much bigger problems than me, just thought I'd share.

Someone bring our brother a guitar. I've made that trip for a close friend, it means the world.

Don’t rush things, no matter how tempting. Your feet do all the heavy lifting for you. That said, best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I dispised the boredom of sitting around , then I was preoccupied with recovery and physio to be creative, to any extent ,

best of wishes for you , make sure you take the time to heal and dont push too hard or it might take longer!

    heal well!

I hope the Op went well and the rehab is swift- but more than that- successful. Better to miss a couple more gigs, than to rush the process and end up back on the table. My smarter-than-a- Doctor buddy was driving a day after his Op and now he hopes the third one has undone the damage he caused himself.

-and no guitar? Your band mates need a swift kick in the pants, for that!

All the best. The past two years I was in and out of hospitals and rehab centers. My wife brought me one of my guitars which made life a lot easier.

Given any thought to having a guitar with you in hospital?

I've done that a couple of times and it goes a long way toward preserving one's sanity...

This made me think of the Matthew Sweet video where he brings Richard Lloyd a Strat while he's in the hospital... :)

Thanks for all your kind words, I'm hoping to be home soon, but if not, I may ask them if I can have a guitar and a Marshall stack here:lol:
