    Anyone have any feedback?

Looking to get some Plexi type grit at reasonable volumes but don’t want a one trick OD pedal. Hoping for any good/bad thoughts on the Riverside.

I suppose the alternatives are the Wampler Plexi and the Tone City Golden Plexi.

too many knobs for me! I'm sure it sounds great. This is my level of complication:

bought one for CHEEP at one of their Saturday Night sales and it sounds amazing. Only does the one trick but it's a really good trick. Turns an Origin 20-watt combo into a fire-breather.

Move. Move away to a property where you can crank your amps.

You could get several one trick ponies for the cost of a Riverside, I'd imagine.
That said, I like Strymon. No idea if it would do a Plexi tho, never played either.
    I'm a lot of help....

    I know, right?

That actually is a better solution than a pedal, if only I could afford a new house :)

Well that’s a fact. So if it can’t do a good Plexi tone then it’s not worth it.

At least I can't say "which Plexi?"

Stay away. Plugged into one at my local shop. Totally digital sounding to my ears. It may have some “Analog” components, but you’re surely better off saving $150 and going with a King of Tone or even a JHS Double Barrel If you’re hankering for an OD pedal with versatility... don’t buy into that “spending money for spending money’s sake” garbage that Strymon spews out. (Line 6 parts aren’t worth $300+ to me... )

The nice thing is that homes in the middle of nowhere are cheap... but the commute back to civilization is a real pain in the rear!

If I went to the middle of nowhere, I'd go all SHTF and prepare for the zombies to come and no one would ever see me again (at least not in my regular clothes and not covered with moss and the stench of blood).

I like Strymon pedals but wouldn't go with digital for an OD. Not sure if it's the most plexi accurate but I really like the ZVex Box of Rock for those type of sounds. What I really like about the BOR is that it has a separate clean boost that is fantastic, so this pedal does double duty for me covering clean boost and Marshall-ish OD.

Not a good pedal. Especially for the price. Box of Rock, Purple Plexi, Animal, Plexi Drive...All better options with no digital biz
