    One preset.

It's a very nice addition to El Cap. There are two things that are a little bit of a problem, though:

    1) You can't have trails when switching between it and the main unit and vice versa. Trails are only enabled when you switch the main unit off.

    2) There's a millisecond of no effect when switching between the two units.

I was going to get that very same DM-3 that you got (great minds think alike…it's a really nice, basic delay). A second separate delay would solve both of those problems. But after giving it some thought, I decided that neither of the weaknesses was a big deal for me, so I decided to blow it off and save the space on my board.

I forgot to say that I'm actually considering about getting another one, to be honest. The one I got is not even velcroed, it's almost perfect. I can use it as a backup for the future and get another one heavy battered but functional at a low price to put it in my pedalboard.
It sounds crazy but I think it would be smart.

Not crazy at all. Especially for anything that's not in production, anymore. If you're really into the unit, grab one up while it's still available and not a complete collector's item. Use it and keep the pristine one for later…when it will actually be a collector's item.

"WOW!! I can't believe you've still got one of those! And it's mint!!".

It's exactly what I would do…so how could it possibly be other than a brilliant idea?

I like the MXR Carbon Copy as a low profile basic delay, too. Saw one at a tag sale for $40, perfect condition, about 5 years ago and passed on it. Still kicking myself for that. But they're still in production, at least.

New Flint owner checking in with a small issue/query...

Sold a couple of reverb/trem pedals and put that $$ towards a Flint -- both for the quality/range of sounds available and pedalboard real estate. Got a VooDoo Lab PP2+ so I was planning on running it out of one of the two higher mA sockets. However, that 9V input socket on the Flint is recessed through a hole in the enclosure, and I just realized that the VDL stock angled power cable end plug molding is a tad too big in diameter to make a secure connection (mine keeps falling out)! The straight plugs work fine, my modulation/delay pedals are right at the front end of my board so now you've got that cable/plug sticking out will become an issue when transporting in the road case. Anyone else noticed this minor but annoying issue?

Blue Sky and Timeline user myself. Both are overkill but then I like having endless tone sculpting options.

I'm surprised it took almost two years for this club to get another member. I love my Walrus Mayflower. It may be one of the most perfect overdrives for a Vox Ac15/Ac30. I have a Messner on the way. I tried and loved an Iron Horse in the shop the other day and will probably get that next. I'd love to get a Deep Six too, to be honest, but don't want my ENTIRE board to be the same manufacturer, and I gotta have those drives. Maybe if the Messner doesn't work out…

Great stuff and really responsive customer service so far.

I recently purchased a Flint and Lex for my rig, surprised to see the serial number sticker on back positioned right where one normally attaches velcro for mounting on a Pedaltrain board! I'd like to remove/reposition the sticker (preferably on the inside of the back) so it doesn't get obliterated, but looks like it won't come off easily and/or reattach (tamperproof?).

I can't be the first person with this issue -- got any advice/tips on this?

Flint user here...love it and will never sell it.

I went with the Cbread Belle Epoch instead of the ElCap. Love the Belle too.

    Hey, can I play too?

Okay, technically my pedals are not Strymon. Before Strymon was Strymon, they were Damage Control, and that's what I have here [emoji847]

    Damage Control Solid Metal
    Damage Control Liquid Blues
Damage Control Timeline (the predecessor to the Strymon version)

I love these pedals. They each sport (2)12AX7 tubes. May be a gimmick, may not, but man are they smooth! Sure do take up a lot of real estate though, but worth it!

I have the OLA and the Flint. I want more as they sound stellar but I'm a little hesitant as the Flint gets noisy with various pedals and power supplies. I love the sound but it's moved to the guest board. The OLA has never had a problem.

I own the DECO pedal.Tape saturation on one sid twin tape decks for old school fx's double tracking chorus , flanging phase shifting.tape saturation is the pixie bust for my amp modeling unit which already does beautiful tube amps simulations, but now , augh, soo nice.
