This week I bought 2 three-packs of d'Addario EXL110 strings. I started to change the strings on my Epiphone Wildkat when I noticed the A-string of one of the sets was too short. It just could not reach the nut.

Luckily I could fit this string in the Floyd Rose of my BC Rich so the string didn't go to waste.

Has anyone experienced this with strings before?

That's pretty bad. Never seen that before. Now on my jazzmaster which is my longest overall length guitar, I noticed the high e string doesn't have a lot of extra length to play with. I don't think you should be seeing that on your guitar at the a string. How is the d string?

I’ve only had one package of D’Addarios have rust on a string fresh out of the pack. I wrote if off as either a manufacturing defect or a flaw in the packaging. It wasn’t bad, it was just there. I think the D string

It wasn’t bad so I used it. When I was seriously playing out and string changes were weekly I used it. I didn’t notice any real difference
