I thought that, in the midst of all these threads where you can only have one pick, I wanted to loosen things up a bit.

In my opinion, the 1960s was a great decade for music. Doo Wop was still sort of strong at the beginning of the decade, but you could tell it was losing its pizazz.

Folk was hanging pretty tough thanks too Dylan and Peter, Paul, & Mary, etc.

But then came surf and that British Invasion thing that changed the music scene forever.

By the end of the decade we were hearing anything from garage band to hard rock to psychedelic. And, the ever-changing R&B!!

This thread is aimed at, and dedicated to, those of us who were kids during this time.

List at least 20 or more of your favorite 60s songs.
This is just the very tip of the iceberg for me.
Or, just mention some bands that you liked from this decade.

    Mrs. Robinson -Simon & Garfunkel
Oh, Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison
Mr. Tambourine Man - Bob Dylan
    The Weight - The Band
    Hey Joe - Jimi Hendrix

Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
Do You Love Me - The Contours
We Gotta Get Out Of This Place - Animals
Time Of The Season - Zombies
    Aquarius - 5th Dimension

Don’t Worry Baby - Beach Boys
I Will Follow You - Ricky Nelson
    Light My Fire - Doors
    It’s A Beautiful Morning - Rascals
Sherry - Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons

I Love How You Love Me - Paris Sisters
    Touch Me - Doors
    Baby It’s You - Shirelles
From Me To You - Beatles
    I Want A Love I Can See - Temptations

Man, so much great music when I was growing up in those times. I'd have to put some thought into making a list of my favs. I could probably come up with 200 if I had the energy.

I can't even begin to list my favorite songs from the Sixties. That's where my tastes are all rooted... and not just in rock & roll, but lots of other pop, R&B, surf, folk, and C&W gems from the period. Too many to list.

Kelly Finnigan sounds like he’s straight outta the ‘60s! Don’t you ever get tired of listening to the same old songs?:p
