Oh yes! - 'Red Card' is one of my favourite albums. That band should've been more appreciated.
That's a great groove. Never heard of them.
First time I’ve heard them...great, ‘70’s funky grit!
Never seen/heard before.
How? They great!
Peace - Deeve
Thanks for the nice responses Saw them live in the 70s and they blew me away !
had not previously heard of them, but that doesn't mean a whole lot.
their story seems like right place, wrong time sort of thing.
thanks for posting. Reminds me a little of group that my band just recently shared a billing with called Gold Souls. Funk rock, R&B vibe - youngsters in the 20's and they were explaining how very few people in their own age group "got" what they were doing. But man, they were hot, fine, and buttered! tight, tight tight and joyful.
- not trying to derail your thread, but here's a sample;
ok, the vids got some extra velveeta...
hooo - they pretty good too.
Thanks for that - haven't heard them before now, but a quick bit o research says they were formed from the ashes of Family, and first lineup included John Wetton and Michael Giles. Mel Collins was also involved for a bit, as was Boz Burrell. Color me even more intrigued now...
1st for me too. Singer has a kinda Steve Marriott, Joe Cocker, Sam Kinnison thing going on.
Yeah this will be Familiar to a "Family " Fan
