Just relaxing on the sofa, listening to Sultans and wondering why he never plays it as well as Knopfler does. :(

The Strats are under threat since this little darlin' came through the door recently.

Of sorts. Cause it’s white blonde over one piece swamp ash. Nickel hardware though. Roasted crazy high grade quartersawn flame maple, Brazilian rosewood board, mint celluloid pickguard, Lollar blonde pickups. That was my “build an S with the best quality parts you can compile” project. Oddly enough, that is the only guitar I find myself being careful with while playing...not the fancy boutique stuff, not the expensive historic Gibsons, not the Fender Custom Shop stuff.

I used to be friends with Richard McDonald of Fender and someplace I have a picture of our combined total of six 80s AVRIs.

Whoa! That is very cool! There’s some nice Strats in this thread, but that is gorgeous!

Fiesta Red, the 1992 Fender ‘62-reissue Stratocaster (and cause of the first major argument between my new wife and I in the summer of 1993) in repose on the divan.
