That was a pretty good clip, but the both were so processed it wasn't a real easy comparison. Plus, the Strat was a little handicapped by that humbucker.
    Maybe I'm just a traditionalist

I can't handle that kind of vibrato technique. I lose interest very quickly when I hear that.

He’s obviously an accomplished guitarist. I just think the actual comparison seems secondary to showcasing his chops.

he plays good enough and all, but on my lap top I don't hear much difference between them.

That got me in the nervous system. I havn't had a cigarette for 20 hours and i'm a 40 a day smoker. I'm not sure if its the withdrawal's or that vibrato that has me feeling so agitated.

    Why is vibrato agitating?

Way too frenetic for me. I couldn't really tell what the purpose of the video was.

Not vibrato in general, but that nervous, spastic, uncontrolled vibrato like that. It has no concern for intonation... just warbling around.

The one @kelnet found is a better example of the difference to my ears.

I'd rather watch the Apple vs Orange shootout, or the Pepsi Challenge... all are equally idiotic. Strat vs Tele... wow, what a concept. Let me know the winner and that's what I'll play from now on because I definitely base my musicality on you tube videos.

Most of you are into each other's clever negativity.
I would avoid it but it's everywhere, even *here*.
    It gets depressing.

I remember how it felt to be hormonally (my interpretation) driven, almost to that degree, but it was long ago. So I envy him and enjoy seeing it expressed, and I admire him for being something other than a facebook zombie, or whatever else of the many other things you people despise.

    "uncontrolled"
    It isn't uncontrolled.

5 year olds should refrain from making guitar comparison videos.
