Strat Pickup In Tele Bridge Position?

Keep in mind too that the placement and angle of each respective bridge pickup on a Strat and Telecaster,
are different!

I suspect it would sound something like a Strat.
Why not try it to see - should be easy enough, but not sure what you hope to achieve.

. I did this guitar for a Tdpri guitar challenge back a while. I've also taken pickguard scraps and made a baseplate for strat pickup on a tele bridge, although the one shown below just used a pickguard baseplate and I wound it on that. They sound like a strat pickup.

At my job, the boss has a Fender Bullet Deluxe. Has the same vibe as that Tele.

The Bullet obviously isn't really a Tele, with that tiny body, different bridge and unangled bridge PUP. Feels amazing but to my ear just sounds like a Strat.

This is one of the reasons why I own both Strats and Teles. I enjoy the Tele bridge sound as is, particularly on the Baja. But I go to the Strat for that distinctive "Strat neck" tone.

In my opinion, I wouldn't do it. But, my opinion doesn't count.

I guess my question would be, WHY?

The typical Strat bridge seems too anemic to me for a good result.

The Tele is an iconic sound. The Strat is an iconic sound.

Embrace both as they were intended.
