I have three strat necks in front of me. There are two distinct shapes it seems. Two are flatter (not tele flat) and one is rounder. There is a Japanese Squire and Mexican Fender that seem to match the pocket on the body I am going to use, but don’t want to use these necks, but but the American neck on the right in the picture is much more rounded and isn’t the same shape as the body. It “fits” but it fits like a strat neck into a tele. Is this okay?
I cannot find anything on Google about these shapes.
Is there a term for these and is there a term for the specific neck pockets?

Interesting, neither look familiar to me, but the right one is apparently a Fender neck... right?
As long as it fits allowing location and screw holes to fit, the heel shape doesn't matter IMO.

These are both Fender. Left is Japanese Squire strat and the same shape as Mex Fender neck I have here too and the same shape as the body I was going to use.
The right is USA Fender pull off strat and the neck I was intending to use.
