A Mexican, with a very strong neckpup, a Twangbanger in the middle and a Quarterpound in the rear. It sounds way better than expected. The paintjob is a little funky, it scratches supereasily. 802E4525-7AEB-4A93-8F62-0065D8D01C04.jpeg B3CC7018-5A38-4E97-A48E-69462AE2888A.png

No tonecontrols, one knob to rule them all. Since I have a real Cabronita, I like the simplicity a lot.

@eddiewagner - very cool. White strats always look cool with DIY mods ;) Are those Graphtech saddles? I just installed them on one strat, maybe 4 months ago, and really like them.

@2HBStrat - that Strat Carbonita is also very cool - I didn't know that existed!

I haven't had that issue, but installed them to try and improve tuning stability because I float the tremolo. I'm not sure they do that - but I have pretty darn good tuning stability on all my strats now with proper setup and a new, properly cut nut on a couple of them. Not sure if I'll bother installing the Graphtec's on my other Strats with steel block saddles, but probably on the one I have that still has bent steel saddles.

I always thought the Cabronita name was because of the Filtertrons.;)

    Mines got a broadcaster and a hi-lotron. I'm calling it a Cabronita!

Always had a dislike for the Strat bridge pickup, they were always too bright for me. I always moved the middle pickup's tone pot to the bridge and that helped. A series/parallel mini toggle for the middle combo choices was good, but I usually ended up just putting 2 humbuckers in my Strats.
Recently I put a different pickup set in one of my Strats. Cavalier Fat Lion in the bridge, DeArmond style Gold Foil in the middle and a real Firebird in the neck. Very tasty. Everyone was calling the Tele pickup in a Strat the Stratele for a couple years, so I guess your guitar is a Stratele Cabronita.;) upload_2021-4-22_16-21-35.jpeg

It does sound completely awesome, and great playing! What reverb is that?

I was blown away by your 'better call saul'! Beautiful.

    Here's mine..(but less creative)

I can see a pair of Fideli'trons in a Strat, with just a single volume control. That would be a great guitar.

Unfortunately, Fender Fideli'tron pickups are not generally available to acquire, as just pickups. :(

(I've compared my Fender Fideli'trons to a pair of my Gretsch HS Filter'trons and to my ears, I much preferred the Fender Fideli'trons. Slightly more output, with a nice bit more personality.)

Thanks my friend. The reverb is a tc hall of fame in the lofi setting. That sound is gold. You can do it with another verb: lots of dwell, very little in the mix and the tone with as little highs as possible.

    No Filtertrons - I don't get it!

You mean, if I take out the tone control on my Tele I now have a Cabronita?
