I like Reunion Blues woven merino wool straps. Colors are pretty neutral but a very comfortable strap; light and breathable. Great quality with real leather tips and metal buckle and D rings.

Plain, soft, padded leather for my #1 Strat, Tele and acoustic, all three picked up at random on my travels because I liked them. Basic, black Ernie Ball, Planet Waves or whatever for other guitars. Everything with strap locks.

I use leather or suede two-piece jobs for the most part, no buckles. I use a few types but had most luck with the Fender and Levy’s ones.

I’ve got a Franklin for each of my guitars, usually I get their bass straps, they’re a little wider. I love them. image.jpg

I have six Walker & Williams (leather) in various colors/design, and others from Dunlap, Levy's, Perrin, Fender...etc. A few are cloth patterned and that is what I will probably buy in the future.

I had a tough time with my Vintage Laguna Blue V6P90...tried blue...tried white. Then I realized my Dad’s old Black Diamond strap was a match for the mint green pickguard!

I use two 43 yr old Gibson ladder straps, two Bison ladder straps , several Perris leather ladder straps, and some plain leather straps I had the saddle shop make me, all with the rough side out and smooth side against me, all 56"from hole to hole for tiles and LPs and 54" for Strat and PRS SE style guitars. I hate the rough side against my shirt because the guitar doesn't move, I want it to slide so its easy to change position for how I play different things

I agonize over strap choices and feel that each guitar needs something different. I have some great old Levy's bridle leather straps, a few skinny "vintage" models, one or two Franklins, and several non-adjustable straps that I cut and finished using strips of premium leather. Once a strap goes on a guitar, it stays for a while, sometimes forever.

For some reason, I hate the standard leather straps where one piece feeds through slots on the other and loops back. Never had one, never will.

I use Comfort Strapp Extra Long Bass strap. It's all foam rubber with elastic support. I've never felt a more comforable strap, even though they're nothing special to look at.

I use Loxx canvas hold downs as strap locks, they work great. They're way over priced at nearly $20/pair in music stores, but I found a 10-pack for $35 on Ebay. Don't get any but the stainless steel ones, they last forever. The others are plated brass and the posts wear out in a couple years.

My favorites are Franklin straps and a couple of leather straps I made. A guitar strap should be leather so it doesn’t slip around.

I have one of these for my "10lb tele" and 4-5 more without the locking ends. Each guitar has it's own strap that never comes off. Very comfortable, but I rarely wear my guitar for more than 30 minutes at a time. For those that like locking straps and change them from guitar to guitar, the new generation of D'Addario locking ends work great on existing pegs.
