The stock was way down. I think a lot of the Epis were missing and even the used stuff (not much of that either) was on the main wall. The normal used area was closed off with fans blowing so maybe the roof was leaking.

I stopped by mine last week and there was a line out the door. I was in a hurry and didn't hang around to find out, but I assume that were limiting entry based on square footage. Store hours were 12pm-6pm.

Have you been to the Laurel store? It's been much better than the one in north Glen Burnie for a few years. I don't know if it's open yet.

I live over in Europe and keep a regular eye on Thomann music on the internet, many of there own Harley Benton and cheaper examples of other brand are completely sold out and awaiting long restock times, hopefully this has been a boom time for guitar sales and people taking the plunge into learning to play. I live in a small village and had to pick up a package from the post office and there were 7 or 8 packages there from thomann to be picked up, more than I would expect given the population of the village, maybe a renaissance has taken place

Yeah, I looked at GC's website and a lot of the used stuff they had last week is gone. The GC in Omaha, Ne. has been open for quite awhile, at least I think it has. Not sure if it ever closed up.

Didn't know they had a store in Laurel. I lived in the area a few years ago but I wasn't into guitars at that time.

I stopped by my local GC last week. Girl out front with a sign that said “facial covering required”. I passed.

I was at the Manchester, NH GC last week, there weren't many guitars at all. Almost all of the used gear was gone, and the new guitar wall was pretty sparse.

Our local music store is no longer. The owner died of natural causes and there’s no one to run the place

An employee told me they're all still closed in MD, not considered essential. Evidently you can do curbside pickup though..

My understanding is that guitars have been selling extremely well during the last few months. As far as in-store availability, supply chain issues and excess inventory concerns are probably to blame. Either way, people haven't stopped buying guitars, which is encouraging.

I have noticed that mics and a couple other things I was looking at on Reverb are in short supply - I haven't done any before-and-afters but I was surprised at the lack of gear. Not what I had expected. BUt it's good if more people are playing!

I don't think they stayed open the whole time, but I haven't been down there in awhile either...just heard their commercials on the radio again about 3 weeks ago.

Our GC reopened about 5 days ago. That’s typical of many of the stores here.

    Many stores have not reopened.

That’s just the way it is. Stay healthy.

I only use GC & SA for strings & such; there is nothing there guitar wise that interests me.

    I miss GC ...
Was there a snot-nosed teenager playing a bad version of "White Cliffs of Dover" through a big Marshall stack, making people run for cover, with their ears bleeding ... ???

    Local guitar store has stock.
Bicycle shop, on the other hand, was bare.
People in line to get in and they’re selling bikes as soon as they are assembled out of the boxes
    I digress,
    Back to GC..
