I can't stop GAS'n for a G&L Comanche USA on eBay/Reverb/YouTube, etc.... I have a kid on the way and should probably save the money, but I'm worried a drink too many late at night and I might click the buy button. I know ya'll have been here! Give me some reasons so I can break out of this obsession...

The disengenuousness (I made that word up) of this thread is completely transparent and won't hold up in court (or to your wife). Buy it anyway.

We are doing a registry for the shower, that would be pretty funny if I added a few guitars...

That's a good point, I don't know how G&L compares to Fender on resale value over time. Would be interested to hear thoughts on that

I had the GAS for one too, but I just ordered a custom pickguard that fit a strat bridge and had it routed for the Z coils and Comanche switches. You can order the pickups straight from G&L.
Now you can turn your Strat to a Comanche and back again.

Hopefully you've played one, the z-coil pickups have their own sound and not for everyone.

Buy the guitar. Quit drinking. Have the baby. Life will be grand.

I haven't, I've dropped by the local shops but nobody carries one. I've listened to sound samples and YT reviews, but I guess that's a fair justification to hold off...

In the long run the drinking going to cost a lot more then the guitar, and be about half as fun. Not that there's anything wrong with drinking, but it seems like you have a variety of options going.

    Do it.

You'll need something to help you unwind - and children are expensive.

In before the lock, so to speak...

DON’T DO IT! You don’t need one more guitar. Not that one! The money will be needed for College. Don’t do it!

    (I tried my best).
