I own 7 Telecasters presently. Just recieved a new Stonetree Teleslayer built by Scott Platts of Stonetree Custom Guitars in Saratoga Wyoming. If you check out his site you will likely see a couple of famous names there that he has also built for.
This Tele has Lindy Frailin pickups. A Tele pickup in the bridge and a Fralin Humbucker in the neck. My oh my, what a great combo. The body wood is Swamp Ash [one peice] Maple neck with an awesome Maple finger board. Locking tuners. Calaham bridge with brass saddles. Body binding front and back as well as the neck but not the head stock. The ax is bright and toneful without plugging in. It actually produces a lot of volume for being unplugged. Plugging the sucker in is all I could ask for. I asked Scott to build the most traditional sounding Tele and this guitar has the deffinite Tele edge in spades. The middle position gives the sweetests freaking blend of highs and neck tone. incredible soun. The bridge pickup lays teletones for days. That big humbucker in the neck is probly the best sounding neck pickup on a tele that I have heard. The other Tele's I have are 2 Zion's, 3 Schecter Califorina Customs, and a G&L Astat Classic. They have a variety of neck finger boards and body wods. The finish on the Stonetree is White with the binding and the Wyoming bucking horse 'Steamboat' inlaid at the 12th fret. If I knew how to load a pic I would do so. But I am so challanged with computer stuff. Anyway, I was hoping to see if there are any other Stonetree owners out there. This is my third Stonetree guitar. Scott has built a Strat for me also and a J200 style Acoustic. All of his builds are really, really well done. Perhaps this will be the start of a Stonetree Owners Club here. My favorite amps are Sewell Customs of which I own 5. Carry on and looking forward to hearing from other owners out there.Love to talk to you's

I'm a Stonetreeaholic myself...

It's cool to see others out there that are on to our little secret. I love a lot of different guitars from '59 Les Paul Jr. to a nice vintage tele but I don't really know that I would pass up a chance to get any guitar other than just adding to my Stonetree pile. I have a Stonetree tele with a chambered mohogony body, Koa top, Flame Maple binding and inlays that I designed and sent over to Scott, solid Rosewood neck with Mother of pearl gun inlays and cubic zirconia fret markers, Fralin P90 in the neck, hot strat in the mid, Hot tele in the bridge with a calaham bridge. This guitar can give me practically any sound that I want. I often think of other guitars that I want to design but I love this one so much it's sick. I also have a Stonetree electric Resonator guitar that is mohogany body, koa top, maple neck, rosewood fret board, and seymour duncan in the neck with fishman in the resonator cone. Between the two guitars there is so much versatility. It's very rare to find people like Scott who are old time craftsmen and take what they do to a level that is unseen in this day and age. I could rattle on about my guitars from Scott but there would be no end. You can hear some of the guitar work from my tele on www.myspace.com/mikesanfordband Anywaysthat is through my Blue Angel and a Sewell that Matt Baker was playing.

Hey Gents, good to hear back from you's. Yes Scott is a good man to know when you be needing a fine instrument.
So can you guys also post some pic's and also could you tell me how to upload a couple of my own. I keep blowing the upload for some reason.
Love to see all the Stonetree;s you guys have.
And yes I do have a Stonetree Acoustic. Its a J200 body style with a rosevine inlay up the neck and a beautiful yellow rose inlaid on the headstock. It is a attention getter when i play out with it....Lord willing, I will figure out this picture upload situation soon.

Don't know why pics are being difficult, but here's another shot

This time, you had two http:'s before the image link.
Removing one didn't help with posting... so that directlink in the url is misleading, and I already don't like picassa just for this.

To post pics:

1. get them online on free sites like (link removed), Flickr or imageshack (I prefer flickr because of its transparency).

2. copy the webaddress of a pic you want to post. DON'T USE THE BIGGEST VERSION!!! Rather, to keep the slower network brothers happy, use the smaller versions (e.g. with a width of max 500 px) and link them to the bigger ones.

3. click above the post-field on the image removed icon, and paste the link into the popup.

4. if you want to link to a bigger version, copy the webaddress for that bigger pic, select the entire code you created in 3, including the IMG and /IMG tags; then click the image removed icon and paste in the popup.

OK, that said, I post your pic here.

Very nice stuff! I posted a thread about their tele-shaped acoustic sold on the New Sound Acoustics site. I don't own any Stonetree guitars but I would love to own this!
