In fact I don't want this thread to close, I want to read peoples thoughts about this guitar.

I'm gonna ask Paul about it.

thanks for the kind words, I have to play it and be sure the neck does not move ...

Before the thread closes, my thoughts: Not my style at all, but nevertheless an intriguing and challenging piece of design. I'm a fan of the turned-plywood wiring channels, and of the organic nature of the inside of the guitar. I applaud your refreshing take on an old design.

WOW Stijn,

There is an airyness to the sound. It is just beautiful. That is the type of guitar that doesn't give you the normally expected tones but rather one you have to sit with and play for a long time to understand what it can do. A complex beast! I really like it!

Ok, I have an account in this forum for a while now, but I wanted to wait for a good occasion for my first post.

Amazing build Stijn!

I followed it from the beginning, a very inspiring topic.
Do you take it to the next DGBM?

Very, very good! I love the visual design and the concept of fanned frets. How does it sound without an amplifier? Is it anywhere near a thinline, sound wise?

Incredible. I'm still totally confused by the construction techniques, which makes me appreciate it even more. Great work.

I had the guitar tested by some people, they all love it !

It needs a little TLC after a few days now, but that's normal, I can live with that.

I think I have to go through with the hollow neck, really proud on that !

The hollow neck is incredible.
I love the overall design of the guitar.

I'd love to see a strat built this way.

Thanks, a strat is possible, I think, but a trem for multiscale neck isn't that easy.
I know one where the luthier used a normal trem, and just fanned the frets out toward the nut.

what about a patent?:p

To expensive ...
And to late, it is already on the web. I don't care. A patent is only good when you have the money to defend it ! First lesson in school about patent and design rights !

Could be worse for a first time entry in the TDPRI challenge ...

You would see me again next year !!!

I'm also surprised there are 4 dutch speaking people in the first 15 winners, cool !!!

And of course: congrats to all the winners !
